Mahindra Trucks and Bus division displayed the new TORRO 31 8×4 Tipper, ideal for on road transportation of coal, iron ore and crushed stones, at the Excon 2015. The BSIII compliant, 31000 kg GVW vehicle comes with Mahindra m-power 7.2 ltr engine, leading to a max power of 170 HP at 2200 rpm and comes with torque (pulling power) of 848Nm at 1050 RPM along with 31 per cent gradeability offered via 9 speed gear box. Mr. Nalin Mehta, CEO and MD, Mahindra Trucks and Bus Division, said, “With 8×4 on road tipper we offer a new variant to our customers in the range of our existing tippers. It gives customers the power to carry more load and optimum mileage to earn more profits, effortlessly. In the last 6-8 months we have garnered a healthy 6 to 7 per cent market share in the segment and are optimistic to continue our journey further.”
Mahindra also showcased TORRO 25 Tipper on the other hand comes with max horse power of 274HP at 2200 rpm along with 16 cu. m rock body sandwich type floors with rock breakers. The Eaton 9 speed gearbox vehicle offers 44 percent gradeability. Also displayed at the show were the Truxo 25 Transit Mixer with best in class spacious, comfortable and ergonomically designed cabin, ladder type, uniform C-section chassis frame and manual synchromesh, 6 forward, 1 reverse gear box. The vehicle comes with the transit mixer size of 6 cu.m and 7 cu.m. Adjacent to the truck were the Loadking Zoom with 5950 kg GVW and the M& M EarthMaster range of backhoe loader.
