The Pondicherry-based Manatec, one of Asia’s largest OEMs of garage equipment, launched two major products at Auto Serve 2012 in Chennai. One was the Auto Boom model of the 3D wheel aligner, the flagship product of the company, and the second was the Jumbo 9000 series of wheel aligner for buses and trucks.
The company which has completed 25 years of manufacturing and supply of garage equipments with a nationwide sales and service networks has also its vast global presence.
With distributors appointed in 40 countries, the company is poised to emerge a global leader in the garage equipment segment. It uses advanced technology that conforms to global standards to produce state-of-the-art wheel aligners (both CCD and 3D), wheel balancers, two-post lifts, pollution checking equipment, etc.
Speaking at the launch function, Mr. R. Mananathan, Managing Director, Manatec, said: “We are the only Indian company to have developed 3D wheel aligner indigenously. Our FOX 3D wheel aligners have been very well received by both global and domestic markets.
With the addition of the Auto Boom model we can now cater to the premium segment of the market. The model features vision-based advanced digital imaging technology and intelligent software for automatic camera movement synchronized with the movement of the lift with the vehicle”.
India is the second largest bus market and the fifth largest truck market in the world. Major global OEs have established their presence in the country and brought in the latest technologies. This has created a niche market for wheel alignment for buses and trucks in India, which till now was being catered to by imported machines.
With the launch of the Jumbo 9000 series of wheel aligner, Manatec will provide a cost-effective solution with technology and features to match the world leaders. The Jumbo 9000 series comes with RF technology and can align multi-axle vehicles. The sensor arms are specially designed to suit modern low-body vehicles and covers up to 24” rim diameter.
“Manatec products offer better quality than the Asian brands and are priced competitively compared to European and American ones. An added value to the customers will be provided by Manatec’s extensive service network and quick availability of spare parts. With the addition of these two products to our range we will definitely surge ahead of our competitors both in India and the global markets”, added Mr. Mananathan.
