Manatec’s export drive

Manatec, Asia’s largest OEM of automotive garage equipments situated at Pondicherry has two reasons to celebrate this year. One it completed 25 years of excellence in innovation, design and development of garage equipment, two it bagged the Silver shield award from Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, fifth time in a row.

This company uses advanced technology that conforms to international standards to produce world class garage equipments which includes the wheel aligners, both CCD and 3D, wheel balancers, tyre changers, two posts lifts, etc.

This equipment supplier caters to the needs of both the domestic as well as the global market. The company has already sold more than 2,000 wheel aligners to over 40 countries that include the U.S.A., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Singapore, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Poland and LATAM countries like Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Chile. Manatec’s indigenously designed Fox 3D wheel aligner, a star seller is being supplied to smaller markets like Puerto Rico, Morocco and Madagascar thereby giving the company a good visibility and an added fillip. With a lofty aim of reaching out to even difficult geographies, Manatec has business orders from Azerbaijan in the Middle East.

The company utilizes every available opportunity to showcase its innovations at grand exhibitions all over the globe. Automechanika Frankfurt is one such recent fair the company exhibited its products, where the Joint Managing Director, Mr. Kalaiichelvan Mananathan told Motorindia, “The USP that Manatec rides on is that we are from India. Our products are of better quality than the Chinese brands and are also priced competitively when compared to the European ones. This gives the buyers a good advantage over the rest.”

“We are in fact the only Indian manufacturer in the field of wheel alignment. The Fox 3D wheel aligner has been a star seller since inception. The software it runs on is patented by us and is localized in 15 international languages”, added Mr. Kalaiichelvan. He also stated that the company’s revenue is expected to soar to Rs. 110 crores from Rs. 80 crores last year, out of which the revenue from exports would hit the targeted 25 per cent.

Having emerged as a truly global player in the automotive aftermarket, Manatec is now looking forward to cash in on opportunities to synergize and work cohesively with the Indian automotive OEMs.
