
Marcopolo delivered the first three Viaggio G8 1050 coaches to the international market. The vehicles were acquired by the operators Intertur Ltda. and ABUS, respectively from the cities of Dolores and Ciudad de Tacuarembo, and will be used on regular lines, national and international tourism


“The characteristics of bold design, robustness, lower operating costs and higher resale value were decisive in the purchase of the Viaggio G8 1050 by clients in Uruguay. The supply demonstrates the strong presence of the brand in Uruguay and throughout South America, since Intertur has been a Marcopolo client since the 1970s and has a 100% Marcopolo fleet,” said José Luiz Moraes Goes, Marcopolo’s director of commercial operations for the foreign market, quality and technical assistance.
The Viaggio G8 1050 coaches exported to Uruguay have Scania K_310C chassis, with a total length of 13,200mm and a capacity of 44 passengers, in Executive Soft G8 seats with leg rests and a cell phone holder with USB socket. The equipment includes a 135,000 BTU Spheros CC 356W air conditioning system, aisle lights, a video player, three monitors and two monitoring cameras. The vehicles also have a total separation wall and a toilet.
