MAT-DISPENS 2018 aims at enabling manufacturing accuracy

Focussed Event Management Private Ltd. (Focussed Events) organized a three-day exhibition for dispensing technologies and materials – MAT-DISPENS 2018 – at the Bombay Exhibition Centre during November 28-30.

Apart from the dispensing equipments, dispensing (technology and equipments) includes the use of adhesives, sealants and solvents which do not have an exclusive show of their own. Changing nature of manufacturing, miniaturization and the need for curve-shaped products have increased the use of epoxy underfill, solder paste, coatings and flux by at least 10 per cent compared to a decade ago. The material being used is different from what were being used five years ago. Moreover, electronics is getting into every aspect of our life. This leads to the need for accurate and efficient dispensing technology to eliminate wastage.

Said Mr. Sameer Khedkar, Director, Focussed Events: “It is of paramount importance to cater to the entire dispensing segment as it is an important step in manufacturing in Industry 4.0. Right from where the metal is cut to the final stage of painting, dispensing is required. Every industry requires it. Whether it is construction equipments, commercial vehicles, electronics, home appliances, aerospace or white goods, it involves a lot of dispensing. Hence, to give a favourable platform to this segment, we decided to organize the exhibition for this industry.”

The first edition saw participation from different companies, including leading players like Dow Chemical International, DOPAG India, Nordson India, HumiSeal, Metlok, Kleiberit Adhesives and RAMPF, were among the 65 brands present at the show.

“We plan to do it every year as we are quite happy with the participation by 65 brands. We are sure that the exhibitors will be pleased as we haven’t diverted from the main theme and got most of the dispensing players. Additionally, we have got the right quality of footfalls. Being a niche show, we have ensured we have invited the right people”, he said.

Having conducted shows on focused segments, the organizers were able to speak to the right managers. “Process Engineers, R&D professionals, quality managers, product developers and Cap-ex managers, we have curated around 2,500 attendees who are looking to stay on top of the latest trends. We know exactly who are going to visit the show, and that speaks for the show and its importance,” Mr. Khedkar added.
