The Australian truck and trailer parts supplier, MaxiPARTS, has announced acquisition of RW International Parts in Wagga Wagga. The site will be relocated to 150 Hammond Avenue and is expected to start trading on March 3.
The MaxiPARTS General Manager, Mr. Peter Loimaranta, said the acquisition further bolsters the company’s recent expansion into the NSW market and increases its number of retail stores around the country to 20. “This strategic acquisition is complementary to the existing MaxiPARTS wholesale and retail network and will further improve our expanding coverage of the Australian market.”
Mr. Loimaranta went on to explain that “Rex Waters, the current owner, will be remaining with the company for the next few months to help with the transition and, regardless of the relocation, in a sense it will be business as usual.”
RW International Parts, established in 1983, is a leading provider of parts, accessories and consumables in the Wagga Wagga area. “With the addition of MaxiPARTS’ diverse core product range, MaxiPARTS Wagga Wagga will be a one-stop shop for the area,” claimed Mr. Loimaranta. “So whether our customers are after a car fridge, tool kit, LED light, tyres or axles and suspensions, they will be able to find it at our store.”
The relocation to the new site just 260 metres from the current location provides a significantly larger retail and warehouse space, to allow the business to properly stock and display its expanded range of products.
Mr. Wes Higgins, a long-time local who will be taking on the role as Manager of the Wagga Wagga branch in addition to MaxiPARTS’ Albury branch, said: “This is an exciting development for MaxiPARTS and also for the transport industry in the area. Not only does this provide the opportunity to be able to improve supply to our existing customer base currently serviced out of Albury but also to develop new customer relationships in the region.”
Following the 2013 acquisition of Central Coast Truck Parts, as well as the relocation of its Moorebank and Albury stores to larger facilities, Mr. Loimaranta said “it’s exciting to be expanding our network once again.”
