Mr. Miron Thoms has been appointed as Vice President and Head of Volvo Penta in India, as of November 01, 2017. Miron is overall responsible for the financial and operational management of the company. He is also the Site Manager for the Volvo Penta Global Purchasing Team in India and a member of the Country Management Team of Volvo Group India Private Limited.
With almost 10 years of service in the Volvo Group, Miron has extensive experience in marketing, sales, business development, manufacturing as well as engine and engine after-treatment technology. He has studied mechanical engineering and business administration in a combined degree program in Germany & Poland.
“I am looking forward to focusing on business growth for Volvo Penta in India, ensuring we attract new customers on the Indian market across our segments. This also includes strengthening our aftermarket and service network, as well as relationships with our existing customer base. In support of our growth ambitions, it is critical that we continue to leverage the ‘Make in India’ approach by serving the market through local production of Volvo Penta engines in Pithampur. Volvo Penta has a fantastic global brand image today, which we can build upon further to have a stronger presence on the Indian market.” says Miron Thoms.
