“For us the vehicle is just a box a mere container. We can take a container or vehicle of any type / size / dimension and integrate the security systems into it. Our USP is the electronics that goes into it, and this electronics is of military grade meant for mobile platforms for shock, vibration and ruggedness. These are made as per the requirement of special-purpose vehicles. We specialize in all the radio systems, communication systems, emergency rooms, video systems and command centres,” explained Anees Ahmed, President and Chairman, Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Citing an example of the use of the vehicle, Ahmed said: “The vehicle becomes the command centre for the army in an emergency and one can park the vehicle at a distance and still get situational awareness of the surroundings. We have fixed cameras on the top of the vehicle; wireless cameras that in no time can be tied to a tree or a pole as they work on batteries and that communicate with the systems in the vehicle. We also have body worn and helmet worn cameras, which communicate to the officers in the vehicle.”

Mistral produces vehicles for intelligence departments, NSG and State police. Many of them don’t look like special-purpose vehicles. From outside it will appear as a normal vehicle, but from inside it has got all kind of electronics and communication system. In the US these vehicles are now with FBI and CIA. In the last three years demand has been going up as the Indian forces are maturing fast enough.

The first mobile Command and Control Solution designed by Mistral was delivered to the Karnataka police. Since then Mistral has worked with the Bangalore police, Gujarat police, National Security Guard (NSG) and several more intelligence agencies.
