For Mobile Climate Control (MCC), Prawaas 2019 embodied the ‘exciting times’ that its officials are hoping to encash in on in more ways than one. Prawaas platform, for MCC, had all the potential bus operators under one roof to meet and impress upon with their quality products, especially in the times in India when the bus AC market is growing and many players are coming into the picture.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, MD – MCC India and President – IMEBA Region, shared: “MCC has entered the Indian market at a good time. We are bringing in new technology and a unique point of view to our customers. We are fortunate to work with those customers who discern quality products supported by advanced technology. Once they experience our product, the word spreads naturally about the good experience they have received using our AC systems. We believe that word-of-mouth propagation of our products is what is bringing more customers to us. Till date all our products that have been launched in the market have been successful and have given us a great feedback and reviews. We are moving forward with great positivity.”
MCC offers premium products with ‘fully brushless technology’. According to Mr. Sunil Kumar, MCC is in number one position already by way of their products and the quality they are offering. As of now, MCC is offering the rooftop systems from 16 meters onwards. He said: “Soon we are launching a product between seven and nine meters which will complete the range in the Midi and large bus segment. And we will be coming out with more products for the Midi segment also.”
With expansion on their mind, MCC has already established a good service network spread across the country.
Mr. Eric Weiss, Group VP, Product Development & CTO, MCC, shared: “Indian market is definitely at the cusp of transition similar to many of the global markets both in terms of bus AC penetration and also technology. That is why it is an exciting time to be in the Indian market though it may take a few years for the penetration to really explode. We are going to see more growth and many exciting things here in India sooner than later.” He added: “We are ready for the year and we have started approaching the OEMs. We have a plan in place to seek them out in a structured manner which will allow us to support them with a complete offering – from sales to service – giving end-to-end support.”
MCC’s strategy from the start has been to work closely with bus builders who they say are the OEMs of the future. Mr. Sunil Kumar explained: “We are seeking more tie-ups with bus builders so that we can supply our products that are custom-built for their buses. That is our idea of a strong point that MCC possesses. That way we believe that whatever cost benefit is garnered by them it can be shared with the customers. We have now begun supplying units to new customers”.
MCC has begun exporting to Europe and Brazil in South America, and soon they hope to cater to the market in Middle East too by the beginning of the next year.
