We started our first bus route in 1972, connecting Mumbai-Mangalore with a non-AC coach. With time, we have upgraded our fleet and have recently inducted 15 m Mercedes-Benz Super High Deck multi-axle coaches that are running on Kolhapur-Pune route.” With its head office in Kolhapur, the company has its branch offices in Mumbai, Dombivali, Pune, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Nagpur and Aurangabad.

The private operator has its own downloadable mobile app on app store and Google Play, named “Gpt Mohan Travels”, which helps the passengers and family members keep a track of their near and dear while travelling. Keeping abreast with technology, the company has provided mobile tabs to its crew of the new Mercedes-Benz coaches to facilitate en route booking and also check passenger information online.
Talking about the company’s plans for 2020 and beyond, Mrs. Nandini Ghatge shared that providing sustainable services in a market sensitive to both price and season is her foremost priority. She stressed the need of comfort, safety and cleanliness in her buses as prerequisites in order to succeed as a sustainable operator.
“I feel the bus fleet business in the country needs a proper alignment as far as organizing and addressing issues of operators is concerned. There is a need to form a central core association in India which can focus on the obstacles and problems faced, and can thus carry forward the work in a much more planned and strategic way, towards providing better overall services to the public”, added Mrs. Ghatge.
