First multi-temperature refrigerated semi-trailer 100% designed for GREEN energy consumption.
The semi is part of a clean energy route project -therefore, it also includes an electric tractor – developed in 2 phases. The objective of the project, in this PHASE 1, is to complete a 400km route without fossil fuels. The energy is generated by solar panels installed on its roof and supported by external recharges. This prototype has been equipped with 100% electric TK A- 500e Spectrum Whisper Pro multi-temperature cooling equipment whose power combines, as we said, batteries/solar panels on the roof.
The solar panel will give at least 1 extra hour of autonomy. In a second stage, Phase 2, we achieve more power supply to batteries with the panelling of the sides that will reduce the charging time and number of external recharge in the logistics bases
In addition, the REFRIGERATOR SEMI-TRAILER has been equipped with SorConnect–our approved thermography with detachable sensor and fleet management complement that is easy to manage, one-time payment and compatible with other applications. Also with, the new TK A- 500e Spectrum Whisper Pro cooling equipment that ThermoKing presents for the first time in this edition of the IAA 2024.
Finally, equipping the semi with the new ZF iTEBS, Alcoa aluminium wheels and Knorr-Bremse Airtab technology helps aerodynamically to more efficient behaviour of the assembly and, therefore, to improve the VECTO coefficient.
