Naveen Filters eyes overseas aftermarket

Taking advantage of ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2019’s global appeal, the Delhi-based Naveen Filters Private Ltd. used the platform to target those OEM and overseas buyers who are looking for a strong outsourcing partner to supply automotive filters. The company is a leading supplier of oil, air, and fuel filters catering to OEMs in commercial vehicles, passenger utility vehicles, and tractor segments.

“Since we are the direct supplier to vehicle manufacturers, we have no present in the domestic aftermarket at present. But India is a huge market that we can hardly ignore. We may reorganise our business strategy in future to enter the local replacement market”, said Mr. Amit Kataria, Director.

“At present, our prime focus is to explore additional opportunities in the OEM side of aftermarket, both in domestic and export markets”, he added, while explaining that export aftermarket has immense potentials for Naveen Filters, considering its strong R&D and manufacturing base aligned to ‘Make in India’ campaign.

The company is a direct supplier of filters and filter assemblies to leading OEMs like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra Trucks, Mahindra Tractors, Sonalika, Escorts, and TVS, along with a host of STUs and defence sectors clients in its portfolio. It has three manufacturing facilities, one located in Himachal Pradesh and the rest in Delhi and Sonipat respectively.

Asked on the company’s readiness to BS-VI norms, Mr. Kataria said that Naveen Filters is already geared up for the new mandate with the development of BS-VI-compliant filtration media. He also added that the company is in talks with other leading OEMs to supply new generation filters in the years to come.
