New Bus for London to attract viewers at Euro Bus Expo

Wright Group’s New Bus for London (NBL) is one of a number of new vehicles that visitors can expect to see at Euro Bus Expo to be held at Birmingham during November 6-8.

NBL will be joined on the Wright Group stand by the first UK showing of the 11.5m StreetLite Max, and a Pulsar 2 lightweight single decker on an SB200 chassis.

The show will also see a number of product launches, including the UK debut of the new VDL Futura, the European Coach of the Year. Further announcements are expected soon from other manufacturers, including Alexander Dennis, Volvo, Irizar, Daimler Buses and MAN.

Show Director Mark Griffin says: “Although the NBL has been operating in the Capital for Transport for London since the summer, its appearance at the show will be the first time that most people will be able to have a closer look at it. The show has a reputation for featuring the very latest vehicles. So I have no doubt that the appearance of the NBL on the Wright Group stand will generate plenty of interest among visitors.”

The show organisers have been facing a challenge with the layout of this year’s show. “Many of our exhibitors are planning product launches of one sort or another,” says Mark Griffin. “The Government isn’t the only one to have a re-shuffle. We’re having to do the same with stands to accommodate late demand. It’s been really busy trying to keep up-to-date with the exciting displays which will be on show. It’s no surprise that we now have very few stands left.”

The NBL was seen in London by the many thousands of people in the Capital for the London 2012 Games. Leon Daniels, Managing Director, Surface Transport, Transport for London, is one of the industry speakers leading this year’s programme of free Master Class seminars taking place across the three days of the show.
