Additional drive for trailers: SAF TRAK
Visitors to the IAA can watch SAF-HOLLAND’s exciting demonstration of its innovative product SAF TRAK to see how the hydraulically driven axle supports tractors on inclines and difficult terrain. SAF TRAK puts the drive directly in the trailer which is precisely where additional power is needed when tackling challenging terrain. The retrofittable axle with the integrated additional drive is designed for trailers in the 9 tonne standard range that travel on-road and off-road, in particular for tippers operating on construction sites or landfill sites.
New products for INTRA and MODUL axles
At the IAA show, SAF-HOLLAND will also be introducing a topology-optimised brake caliper and the new SAF Air Dampening. The new products in the INTRA series are all about galvanisation and weight optimisation, while the modular system SAF MODUL is expanded with the addition of new components. The retrofittable SAF TIRE PILOT system, which monitors and maintains the preset tyre pressure in trailers, will also be available for steering axles in the future. In Hanover the axle specialist will also be presenting a new lubricant pump for fifth wheels.
Meeting point for fleet operators
SAF-HOLLAND has set up its own meeting point at its IAA stand in order to address issues that are of particular relevance to fleets and to promote dialogue with fleet operators. There, fleet operators can get information about new developments in SAF-HOLLAND’s guarantees and service processing, and register for its FLEET-CONNECT loyalty program. For each new, registered product, members earn bonus points, which they can redeem for rewards such as spare parts kits, tools or service vouchers.
