Mr. Nitin Chalke has been appointed Managing Director of Eaton in India with effect from January 18. He succeeds Mr. Raja Kochar and will report to Mr. Curt Hutchins, President – Asia Pacific.
“I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Nitin as Managing Director of Eaton in India,” said Mr. Hutchins. “He has a wealth of business experience, including his most recent role leading our India and South-East Asia Hydraulics business. We look forward to Nitin’s leadership as we continue to expand our India enterprise.”
In his new role, Mr. Chalke will be responsible for developing and executing a broad-based, proactive strategy to support Eaton’s growth objectives in India. He will continue to lead the India Hydraulics business until a successor is appointed.
Mr. Chalke joined Eaton in 2009 and most recently served as Managing Director, India and South East Asia – Hydraulics. Prior to Eaton, he held various positions at Schindler, Structural India and Ingersoll-Rand. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA, both from Bombay University.
