NLMK foresees robust future in Indian CE sector

Even though NLMK has barely spent five years in the Indian mining sector, it is going great guns in steadily capturing the market. As a group, its origins are in Russia, but its various divisions have taken it all over Europe.

Product Highlight – Targeting the aftermarket in the mining sector, NLMK is investing in plasma cutting machines as part of its service centre. He says: “Through this we hope to increase our penetration and reach in the market. The plate mills use completely imported high strength steel from Belgium. We realise that the cost would be a factor, but the best steel must be used in our products.”

NLMK sources its steel from Belgium under its popular brands Quard, which is abrasion resistant steel, and Quend, which is high strength steel.
