“No dearth of projects but market liquidity needs to get better” – Amit Nagpal, Director, Ajashy Engineering Sales

EXCON 2019

“EXCON is a great platform to meet potential customers with varied experience in the industry. It helps us get feedback and improve upon our products. At this EXCON we are seeing that only 10-15% of the customers – especially the new generation – are ready to changeover to new technologies. They are open to understanding these changes and we believe they will adopt these soon. They appreciate the concepts that we have launched. But we are yet to see them go full throttle on closing the deals too.”

CE industry trends

“The segment itself is growing with technological advancements. Also, there is no dearth of projects but the project contractors are yet to receive the funds. There is obviously a liquidity crunch. The payment cycles are getting longer but the orders are not vanishing. The promises made by the government need to materialize on ground because the end users and the OEMs are feeling the impact. We believe it will another six months to get even. If in the current quarter the financial situation remains the same, then the slowdown will get passed on.”

Unveiling…

“We have launched a modular fuel bowser here. Our USP is that generally the chassis is required to be sent to the fabricator but in this case, we transport the complete diesel bowser and fit it on the customer’s chassis on their site within one and half hours.

“We are also displaying our highly popular mobile service van. A national project is across a really wide area and the equipment will be spread across the stretch. It means servicing the equipment will be a problem. Our mobile service van takes care of this. There are some big brands which have bought this solution. It is a customized solution that can service multiple industries including automotive and construction industry. It can conduct minor repairs on site, take care of solutions like welding, cutting, oil changes, greasing and tyre repairs. It can also load and shift heavy aggregates because it has an in-built crane.

“Then we are showcasing certain new concepts here in India, which are already being used elsewhere in the world, such as attachments to backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, and excavators. We do not manufacture them in India but are representing an Italian brand across India. As on date, there is no Indian brand making them here.”
