At Auto Expo 2020 – Components, Norma Group presented its wide range of products for the automotive industry, including clamps, connectors and fluid systems.
Commenting on this display, Kailas Mandlapure, Business Development Head (EJT and Engineering), Norma Group, said: “We work on precise science called engineered joining technology. Joints are critical for the smooth functioning of any vehicle. The failure of even a single joint can be dangerous for the vehicle and the people using it. Engine requirements like the turbocharger and exhaust gas need precision at every joint. Norma Group is known for providing leak-proof joints.”
The company showcased modular clamps that can eliminate leakages, solutions for cooling systems with less weight and UREA transport systems, amongst many other products. “We figure out the megatrends and work on them proactively. One such trend is weight reduction, especially in the BS-VI regime and e-mobility. We are enabling connection of the turbocharger with the engine manifold with significant weight reduction. What could have needed four bolts and flanges weighing around 2.5 kg can now be replaced with a maximum weight of 200 gm. Similarly, on the e-mobility front we are providing battery thermal management solutions with several tubes in polyamide material to enhance light-weighting,” Mandlapure elaborated.
Norma Group has an extensive range of products ranging from hose clamps, pipe connections and profile clamps to retaining products such as quick connectors, plastics and fluid systems. “Our portfolio extends to over 35,000 products. Each one designed and developed to meet a particular need, evolution or megatrend. Through our metal and plastic verticals we are able to cater to wide requirements of all vehicle segments. At the Auto Expo fair our objective was to help our customers understand our expertise and work with us to find reliable connecting solutions for higher vehicle efficiency, also related to both BS-VI and electric mobility,” he added.
