Over one hundred companies have confirmed their presence at FIAA 2014, the 12th International Bus and Coach Trade Fair to be organised by IFEMA at Feria De Madrid from October 28 to 31. One of the most important fairs in Europe, it offers major business opportunities to the bus and coach industry worldwide.
The fair represents a major commercial opportunity which, in the words of the recently appointed FIAA and the IFEMA Automotive Area Director, Miguel Aguilar, “is being held at a particularly appropriate moment, as the automotive sector, anticipating both the beginning and the end of the recession, is emerging from a complicated economic situation and is starting to view the future with greater optimism”.
According to the most recent information provided by manufacturers’ association ANFAC, in the first six-month period of 2014, the industrial vehicle market showed a growth of 34.3 per cent, with the sale of 6,874 units.
Within this context, FIAA will offer a business platform for companies manufacturing chassis, bodywork, components, accessories and technology, maintenance, road transport passenger infrastructures, etc., providing them with an opportunity to present the very latest developments. There will also be a chance to establish beneficial customer portfolio contacts and gain access to potential new areas, taking advantage of the numerous tools that the fair makes available to help those attending to make the event profitable, including an intense communications campaign and a parallel focus on social networks.
In addition to the positive outlook promised by it, the event is also backed by the main sector associations, including ANETRA, the National Association of Coach Transport Businesses, ASCABUS, the Spanish Association of Bus and Coachbuilders, ASINTRA, the Spanish Federation of Passenger Transport Businesses, FENEBUS, the National Federation of Bus Transport, ATUC, the Association of Collective Urban Transport Management and TU, the National Association of Urban Surface Passenger Transport.
Registration can be made directly via the fair website, www.fiaa.ifema.es. The website is also available for registration of professional visitors, allowing them to see the preparation work for the fair.
