ACMA Automechanika New Delhi to be held during February 7-10 will be the nation’s first-ever trade exhibition fully dedicated to the auto component aftermarket. Expected to attract industry professionals from India and across the world, the show will cover parts and systems, accessories and tuning, tyres and batteries, repair and maintenance, IT and management, service station and car wash and the latest automobile services. It will provide participants access to new markets while affirming its status as a solid platform for networking.
The 2013 show has already been sold out, with over 250 exhibitors having confirmed to occupy more than 9,500 sqm of exhibition space. Over 100 exhibitors will be from overseas, particularly from China, Germany, Italy, Russia and the UK. Over 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the four-day show.
Sponsors of the fair have come from different segments of the automotive components industry. Shriram Pistons and Rings Ltd. will support the show as Platinum Partner along with ARO Equipments. Anand Automotive Ltd. and ZF India have come on board as Gold Partners. Escorts Auto Products has confirmed its support as Silver Partner, while Elofic Industries will extend its support as Bronze Partner.
The event organisers, ACMA and Messe Frankfurt, will make a strong effort at combating counterfeiting at the show. ACMA, for example, has initiated a campaign dubbed ‘ASLI-NAQLI’, while Messe Frankfurt’s global initiative ‘Messe Frankfurt Against Copying’ will provide global assistance in ensuring intellectual property of the fair’s exhibitors and spread awareness on the benefits of using genuine auto components.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Surinder Kanwar, ACMA President, said: “We at ACMA are delighted to partner with Messe Frankfurt. The Indian aftermarket has significantly grown in size and we hope that ACMA Automechanika India will give a further boost to this market’s development. ACMA will also mobilise participation and business delegations to Automechanika’s 12 other worldwide fairs held in Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa.”
To be held concurrently with the exhibition is the ACMA Aftermarket Seminar during February 8-9. The seminar aims to help attendees understand the current and future trends in the aftermarket industry, as well as examine the challenges and opportunities the sector has to offer.
As the aftermarket services sector has evolved, the distribution channels necessary to meet buyers’ needs have grown accordingly, in tune with evolving market forces and changing consumer preferences. At the seminar, prominent speakers from across the industry will offer insights on issues and the latest trends prevalent in the aftermarket sector in both India and overseas.
Mr. Raj Manek, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt India, said: “Messe Frankfurt’s partnership with ACMA is continuing to be a very fruitful venture. By combining our expertise in the organisation of automobile exhibitions around the world and ACMA’s invaluable knowledge of India’s auto component industry, I strongly believe the New Delhi fair will serve as the perfect industry trading platform. The 2013 show will offer attendees the chance to witness India’s growing aftermarket sector.”
