Pee Aar Exim Private Ltd. is a joint venture company set up in 2006 by SPAL Automotive of Italy and the Pee Aar Group, with its 
manufacturing facility located at Chakan, Pune.
SPAL, headquartered in Correggio (RE), Italy, is a global leader in axial fans and centrifugal blowers. Major global automotive air-conditioning companies are using its products for cars, high-end motor bikes, buses and commercial and off-road vehicles.
The Pee Aar Group, promoted by Mr. Pankaj Rustagi in 1994, is having multiple business interests in areas like automotive, fans & blowers, plastic injection moulded parts and specialised FRP components at its plants in Pune, Rudrapur and Greater Noida. Based in Kaushambi (Ghaziabad), Delhi NCR, the group also deals in speciality chemicals, automotive components, offshore sourcing/indenting and customisation of vehicles.
Pee Aar is a known entity in the Indian automotive air-conditioning segment with its brand image of “Paei”. Brushless motors and other fans and blowers are procured from the parent company in Italy. It supplies its automotive axial fans and centrifugal blowers to leading OEMs and Tier-I companies and is also catering to the growing needs of secondary market. “Our company is able to develop new fans and blowers as per customer requirements within 6-8 months”, said Mr. Sanjeev Dhawan, Chief Technical Officer of company.
With its fully integrated manufacturing facilities and in-house injection moulding and motor assembly, Pee Aar has a world class design and testing facility with latest equipments such as salt spray chamber, dust chamber, water spray chamber, hot air oven, thermal cyclic chamber (-40 Deg C to 180 Deg C), cathode ray oscilloscope, high voltage breakdown tester, vibration test equipment, air flow testing machine, dynamometer, vibration analyzer and a noise room with spectrum analyzer.
In 2012, the company decided to sharpen its focus on the commercial vehicle and is now working on all types of fans and motors required in the OEM and secondary market segments. This move seems to be paying off, and as a result, it has expanded its market share too.
At a time when the industry is passing through a tough phase particularly in view of the growing competition from Chinese products, 
the company is able to meet the customer needs with a perfect match of product quality and competitive prising. It is annually selling almost 400,000 fans and motors and is aiming at an annual sales target of 8,000,000 units by 2017-18. To achieve this target, the company has made considerabe investments to strengthen its design and testing centre with an investment of Rs. 4 crores on the R&D Centre.
SPAL’s world class product technology and Pee Aar’s strong knowledge and experience in the domestic market keep the JV growing with its strong efforts to increase its market share in the segments it caters to.
Referring to the recent developments of the company and its future plans, Mr. Pankaj Rustagi, Managing Director, Pee Aar Exim (P) Ltd., told MOTORINDIA: “In India, our JVC is operating successfully with installed production capacity of 800,000 units of axial fans and centrifugal blowers. Our products are having very little axial dimensions, high efficiency, low noise, lower weight than that of similar units, motors protected against water and dust ingrates (degree of protection IP 68), and middle/long and very long life models having performance guarantee of upto 36 months”.
