Order to strengthen PMI’s existing fleet of 50 e-buses in Rajkot that have covered 1 lakh + km in the city
PMI Electro Mobility, one of India’s fastest-growing electric CV manufacturers, has been awarded the LoA for providing, maintaining and operating 100 electric buses for 10 years by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. The latest order is in addition to the previous order of 50 electric buses that have been supplied by PMI to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. The tender for these 50 electric buses was awarded to PMI Electro Mobility in 2019. The latest tender for 100 e-buses, on the other hand, was floated by Rajkot Municipal Corporation during the month of February, 2021. As per this tender, PMI will be providing and operating electric buses on the BRTS corridor.
PMI Electro Mobility will be providing 100 units of 9m electric buses. These buses are equipped with advanced features such as CCTV cameras, air suspension, RTMS (real-time monitoring system), and several other safety provisions.
