Road shows at Mumbai and Trichy well attended
After the success of the inaugural edition of Prawaas, Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) has announced the second edition of the country’s largest bus & car show for public transport – Prawaas 2019. Prawaas 2019 aims to bring together leading bus & car operators from across India in eight important segments, namely, intercity, intracity, school bus, employee transport, tour operators, tourists cabs, maxi cabs and SPVs.
Prawaas 2019 is scheduled to be held in July 25-27, 2019 at CIDCO Convention & Exhibition Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The central theme of the second edition of Prawaas is “Towards Safe, Smart, Sustainable Passenger Mobility” and will trigger focused interactions amongst operators, manufacturers, STUs, policy makers, regulators, sector experts and media.
Prawaas 2019 is being organized by the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) and hosted by Mumbai Bus Malak Sanghatana (MBMS) & Federation of Tourists Taxi Operators (FOTTO) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications as the Event Partner.
Two curtain raisers were held for the event, one at Mumbai followed by the second one at Trichy, both attended in large numbers by the BOCI leadership, bus & car operators and industry leaders. Two more curtain raisers are scheduled to be held at Bangalore and Mangalore.
Prawaas 2019 will feature an exhibition, electric mobility showcase, buyer-seller meet, conferences, workshops, CEO conclave, policy-makers round table, awards & celebrations, bus & car auction, etc. The event aims to bring together public & private sector bus & car operators from 29 states and seven Union Territories, ensuring complete 360 degree reach for all the participants. Around 4,000 bus & car operators, 100+ expert speakers, 150+ exhibitors and over 10,000 business visitors from India and overseas are expected to congregate at Prawaas 2019, making it a rare platform where both public & private bus & car operators and other key industry stakeholders will come together to explore possibilities of deeper collaboration and evolving better Public Private Partnership (PPP) models.
The conference will address issues of pressing interest to the bus & car operator segment to identify challenges and deliberate solutions for them. Eminent speakers from across the globe and India are expected to address the sessions. It will focus on multi-modal transportation including end-mile connectivity, creating a conducive ecosystem for e-Mobility adoption, PPP models for passenger mobility, IT solutions for smart transport, bus manufacturing technologies, funding models, sustainable public transport solutions, school bus safety, intelligent transportation systems, taxation incentives, contract carriage vs stage carriage and new segments that will impact the industry in future.
