SKF India Ltd., India’s leading technology and solutions provider of bearings, seals, lubrication systems, mechatronics and services, has announced the retirement of Mr. K.C. Mehra and appointment of Mr. Rakesh Makhija as its Chairman with effect from July 22.
Mr. Rakesh Makhija has been associated with SKF India for more than 12 years. He served as its Managing Director from 2002 to 2009 and has been a member of the Board ever since. His most recent assignment was as President of Industrial Markets – Strategic Industries for the SKF Group. Prior to that, he was the President of the Asia Pacific – SKF Group.
Prior to joining SKF, Mr. Rakesh served as the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Honeywell. Earlier, he served Kinetics Technology International BV, a process engineering company in the Netherlands, for over eight years.
