He succeeds Mansi Tripathy who moves on to take over as Vice President – Lubricants, Asia Pacific Middle East region
Shell India has appointed Raman Ojha as Country Head of Shell Lubricants India starting this October. He has succeeded Mansi Tripathy, who moves on to take over as the Vice President – Lubricants, Asia Pacific Middle East (APME) region. Raman joined Shell Lubricants India in 2005 as a management consultant in the Shell Downstream Consulting Practice. In the last 14 years, he has served as Business Head for Shell Bitumen Asia, Business Head for Shell Bitumen Americas, Vice Chairman for Shell Foshan JV in China, and Business Head for Shell Bitumen China.
His responsibilities have included managing sales, operations, and delivery of projects that entailed business turnarounds, new market entries and portfolio actions. In his past role, he was responsible for developing the strategy and marketing plans for Shell Lubricant’s bitumen and sulphur businesses globally, aligned with the company’s goal of providing more and cleaner solutions for the construction and fertiliser industries, while addressing energy use and circular design. With significant cross-industry expertise in the energy, lubricants, construction and fertiliser sectors, his focus in the new role will be on delivering growth both for Shell Lubricant’s customers and Shell Lubricants through sustainable business models and offerings in a world challenged by energy transition.
Speaking about his appointment, Raman said: “It has been an incredible journey at Shell Lubricants, and I am excited to dive into this new chapter. We are on a positive growth trajectory at Shell Lubricants, with India being one of our fastest growing markets. I look forward to leading the business in its next phase of growth and market leadership, driven by a customer-centric mindset.”
