Ramco’s timely online solution to Real Talent Engineering’s rescue

Decision-making now made much easier

Real Talent Engineering (RTE), an ancillary unit of Brakes India Ltd., manufactures auto components like torque plates and actuator assemblies. The company had been using a separate legacy system for administering its business processes. However, this legacy software was able to meet only its financial management requirements. As the system was not integrated with stores and other production operations, it resulted in delayed decision-making due to unavailability of information when needed. Further, the tracking process related to materials supply to customers was quite cumbersome.

The RTE management hence decided to switch to a full-fledged ERP to ensure control over operations. It was in need of a solution that would provide complete information to facilitate efficient resource planning and production based on customer delivery schedules. The company wanted a comprehensive and integrated online solution which could address their challenges.

Speaking at the CII conference on green technologies for automotive sector, Mr. R. Balaji, Vice President, Manufacturing, Ramco Systems Ltd., presented a case study on the operational issues RTE was facing and how Ramco Systems was able to provide a full-fledged solution to address the company’s challenges.

He said: “While the parent firm, Brakes India was running an on-premise ERP, it decided to look for comprehensive cloud-based ERP for its subsidiaries. When RTE wanted to switch over to a cost-effective and efficient ERP system to suit the company’s size and business needs, Ramco ERP on Cloud had all parameters in terms of meeting the company’s business requirements. Ramco Systems offered the solution on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.”

The solution enabled RTE to integrate disparate processes together, to give a single window of information, thus granting them purposeful insights into their business operations. The business modules implemented include book keeping, discrete production, inventory, management accounting, MIS reports, payable management, purchase, receivable management, sales and shipping, fixed assets and HRMS and payroll.
