Randhawa Automobile Engineering Pvt. Ltd., founded in 1998 is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company, and now a member of the Automobile Research Association of India (ARAI), is busy developing its new unit (III) at MIDC Additional Patalganga.
Mr. M.S. Randhawa, Managing Director, a qualified Mechanical, Marine and Automobile Engineer, disclosed: “Here we are going to start a unique manufacturing unit for automobiles. We are also going to manufacture aluminum containers for all brands of vehicles at the joint venture with Hindalco Ltd. Production will start in two months. These containers, with light-weight bodies, to get maximum pay load, will be very useful to the customer. Sturdy and strong, the containers would ensure more re-sale value for vehicles.”
The company has its head office and manufacturing plant (Unit-I) at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, and another plant (Unit-II) at MIDC Taloja, Navi Mumbai.
Over the last few years, Randhawa has also focused on R&D to give new designs for vehicle bodies for a better look. “We conduct R&D and body building as per the ARAI and RTO norms. This has helped Randhawa garner a trusted brand name for design and quality work across India by working on all vehicle platforms. It has received the best SSI Award in Maharashtra for vehicular body building and international Awards for its performance. It remains committed to give the best of products to consumers in terms of quality and standard.”
At present, under the stewardship of Mr. Randhawa, both his sons, Mr. Gurjit Singh Randhawa and Mr. Gurprit Singh Randhawa, are shaping the future of the company. It is as per their strategy that the company has been able to expand into a three-wheeler dealership of Atul Auto Ltd., in the name of Randhawa Motors with complete 3S (Sales, Spares & Service) at Nerul, Thane, Dombivli (Kalyan) and Panvel, with few more outlets opening shortly.
“I get support not only from my sons, who are well qualified and perfect in their profession, but also from our management and production staff, who are highly professional and trained in their scope of work and handle their responsibilities as owners,” beamed Mr. Randhawa.

Ltd., started as an automobile body building business with three-wheeler commercial vehicle containers, is now doing custom-made complete vehicular body building for all types of commercial vehicles. It now offers a versatile portfolio of vehicle applications in various designs, like delivery vans, cash vans, containers, insulated/refrigerated vans, vegetable and fruit vans, display vans, towing vans, service vans, mobile shops, tippers, ambulances, truck cabins, bus bodies and special-purpose vehicles.
