Reaching out to truck drivers and fleet operators

Continuing its commitment to create awareness amongst drivers regarding tyre safety, quality and maintenance, the JK Tyre ‘Happiness Truck’ held an interesting activity at the Leh union on 10th July. Over 100 Drivers and owners participated in the get-together, initiated by Motorindia Magazine supported by the lighting partner Lumax. Prior to reaching Leh, similar activities were conducted at Baddi, Nalagarh, Darlaghat, Barmana, Bilaspur and Mandi.

Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, GM, Fleet Management attended the event at Leh along with his colleague Mr. VK Singh and their local dealer partner Mr. Stanzin. Addressing the gathering Mr. Sharma emphasised on the correct proportion of air in the tyre both when the vehicle is loaded and while returning empty load. He also spoke about the benefits of correct air pressure on radial tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and overall turnaround times of the vehicle which increases in savings for the vehicle owners. Mr. Sharma also gave the drivers an insight into the world of tubeless tyres and how it is the next important change as far as advancement in tyres is concerned. On insistence of Mr. KK, Vice President of the Union, Mr. Sharma promised to make tubeless tyres available for trials to whoever interested.

The discussion was followed by fun-filled engaging activities involving drivers in musical chair, dancing, passing the ring to one another and a magic show. Spreading happiness, the JK truck moves further towards Srinagar, Jammu and Ludhiana before heading back to Delhi.
