Remsons a pioneer in India for auto control cables & gear shifters with push pull cables displayed its full range of products at the ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2019.
Speaking to MOTORINDIA on the company’s aggressive plans, Remsons new Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Amit Srivastava, said: “We are present with solutions for two-three-four wheelers as well as commercial vehicles. The CAGR in all these is likely to make India the No.3 auto manufacturer by 2022. With that focus we are also looking at the organic and inorganic growth in control cables, gear shift system and push pull cables. By showcasing our innovative designs and manufacturing concepts to suit the OEMs changing needs we enhance the value and performance to the end users. Our presence here at the show is to sensitize OEMs and suppliers against cheap and spurious parts by unorganized local players.”
Remsons who enjoys business share with OEMs like M&M in the tractor and farm equipment segment, Hero Motor Corp, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Piaggio amongst the many others, is looking to strengthen its presence in the domestic as well as overseas aftermarket. “We are well represented across the country with 300 dealers and in the next one year we want to reach 500 dealers. That will help us to double our volume in the aftermarket. We would be looking at the depth as well as the width of the distribution in order to acquire higher share of business, which will also optimize our capacity utilization,” asserted Mr. Srivastava.
When asked about the company’s current manufacturing strength and localization content, he added: “We have 2 manufacturing locations, Daman and Gurgaon and both the facilities are equally equipped to attain our target of Rs. 150 crores for the current financial year. As of now, we have ample capacity to focus on the demands of local as well as exports and we are targeting growth in tune of 30 per cent YOY in next 2-3 years and be a preferred OEM supplier.”
The company is going through organization change process and restructuring. “With our redefined core values ‘Systems, Tenacity, Empower, Ethics, Relationships’ we STEER to new brand positioning and demonstrating our drive to make “better’’ every life we touch; be it our employees, our business associates, our customers, the communities around our plants and facilities, or the industry fraternity at large”, concluded Mr. Srivastava.
