New facility to augment economic growth in the region
Safexpress, India’s largest supply chain and logistics company, launched its high-tech Logistics Park at Dhule, in Maharashtra, recently. Spanning over an area of 12,50,000 sq feet, this ultra-modern logistics park is strategically located on NH 8.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Rubal Jain, Director, Corporate Strategy, Safexpress said, “Dhule is an emerging city of Maharashtra. The city comprises of numerous small scale industries that fall under Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). Dhule is a hub for both agricultural and textile industries. A large number of edible oil manufacturing plants and food processing units are located in this belt. Raw materials for paper mills, cotton mills and readymade garment industry are also available from this region. Supply chain and logistics has a very vital role to play in the growth of numerous industries spread across the Maharashtra region. Despite being an agricultural and industrial hub, Dhule does not have adequate warehousing and logistics infrastructure to support the huge number of industries in the region. Keeping this in mind, Safexpress has developed this ultra-modern facility at Dhule, which shall serve as a transhipment hub as well as a warehousing facility. We are planning to bridge the infrastructure gaps and serve the supply chain and logistics requirements of the entire region.”
Mr. Jain further added, “We have made a significant investment to set up this state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure. This will help the industries in this region to have access to our world-class services, which would contribute heavily in the economic growth of the entire region.”
Also present on the occasion were Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, VP, Marketing, Safexpress. Highlighting the USP of the Logistics Park at Dhule, Mr. Kanaujia said, “This logistics park has a column-less span of over 131 feet and enables loading and unloading of over 108 vehicles simultaneously. The dedicated bays and docks here provide an uninterrupted and unidirectional flow of inbound and outbound goods. It has a floor load capacity of six metric tonnes per square meter and has a truck docking area width of over 80 feet. To provide safe and smooth movement of goods within the park we have installed high-tech equipment.
