Scania displays full range

Scania turns 125 this year. The company participated in a big way in bauma 2016. Its three divisions were present, with products and services that share the common objective of providing the best possible total economy, regardless of application. Scania’s combination of robust products and connected services provides intelligent solutions that make all the difference.

Five trucks were showcased. They were all robust and reliable featuring connectivity and attractive services that help transport companies enhance their profitability. Also on display were three industrial engine platforms – 9-litre and 16-litre for Tier-4 final and Stage IV, and a 13-litre for Stage V.

Scania introduced a new era in meeting the mining industry’s transport needs, with smart and holistic solutions that lead to increased efficiency, by focusing on optimisation at every stage.

“bauma is an outstanding showcase for Scania’s collected offering within rough and tough,” said Isabella Habijan, Scania’s bauma project leader. “We have three divisions on-site, and each is a leader in its field with special significance for the Bauma target groups.”

Scania presented both conventional building and construction trucks as well as its special trucks for mining operations (that is so large it must be shown outdoors). It also displayed its renowned bright orange industrial engines that are now being developed for Stage V.

“We’re seeing a strong upward trend for Scania, generally within construction, and especially in the large European markets. Customers in the big European markets have discovered that our trucks and solutions offer the best total economy for their operations,” Habijan added.
