Schaeffler celebrated the 25th anniversary its participation in Automechanika Frankfurt this year by presenting the garage of tomorrow. Visitors at the company pavilion got an opportunity to watch more from the exciting world of vehicle repair. With clear explanations of complex repair solutions, Schaeffler added a new service dimension for garages & retailers.
In line with its digital agenda, which Schaeffler implemented as part of its future program “Agenda 4 plus One,” the Automotive Aftermarket division presented digital displays that combine the everyday garage work of the future with virtual knowledge transfer using mixed and augmented reality.
With four strong brands – LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville – and its service brand REPXPERT, the Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket business division showed its strength system specialist for transmission, engine and chassis, and represented its innovative products and services at the show.
The company demonstrated how its system expertise can help to meet the growing demand from the Automotive Aftermarket today and in the future as well. Schaeffler wants to achieve this by means of its extensive portfolio of transmission systems, its comprehensive system expertise in key engine systems, and its wide-ranging program for the safety-relevant chassis.
Whether passenger cars, light or heavy commercial vehicles, or tractors – their optimally tuned components allow fast and professional parts replacement. All products are based on a comprehensive system approach. Innovation, technical know-how and the highest product and assembly quality make Schaeffler not only a leading development partner for vehicle manufacturers. The company is also a pioneer in offering value-maintaining spareparts and holistic repair solutions for clutches, release systems, engine, transmission, and chassis applications – and always in original-equipment quality.
In addition, the Automotive Aftermarket business division also offers technical services with its REPXPERT brand that covers everything having to do with its products and repair solutions.
As part of the “Tomorrow’s Service und Mobility” theme of this year’s trade fair, Schaeffler offered an exciting look with its “Schaeffler Glass Car”. This exhibit is outfitted with about 40 products and technologies from the Schaeffler world, including the E-Clutch, the electromagnetic roll stabilizer, the thermal management module and the electric axle.
At five workbenches, technical experts were demonstrating how the company’s products and repair solutions supported garages with their work today. At the workbenches, tablets were placed with direct link to the REPXPERT online portal for users to find and procure the right spareparts easily and quickly, and receive optimal support for professional repair. In addition, they can access all material available for a Schaeffler product, like installation videos, technical brochures and service information.
Another highlight was the AUDI RS5 DTM Show Car from Schaeffler, which was displayed outdoors on the trade fair grounds. It’s fully electrically-powered and demonstrates how the Schaeffler technology has proven itself even under the toughest racing conditions.
