New Delhi-based bus and coach maker Sheena Motorbodies registered its first-ever appearance in a major trade fair at Prawaas 2.0. The company is into bus body making for two decades, with predominance in Delhi NCR and Northern region including exports to Nepal, in particular, for the private and tourist bus applications.
Sheena took the Prawaas platform to showcase its latest premium tourist coach ‘Dreamline’ built on the popular 16T chassis of BharatBenz. With sophisticated exterior and interior styling, the Dreamline is an air-conditioned luxury seater bus with reclining 2×2 seating and plush interiors. One unique design element of this bus its centralised AC duct and vents in the roof over the aisle, which gives the cabin a spacious and airy ambience.
Said the Director, Mr. Harman Bhogal: “We are excited to make our first presence in Prawaas. This gives us a valuable opportunity for us to reach out to the South Indian and Mumbai markets. By showcasing our latest product, we would like to convey our designing and customisation prowess to the fleet operators”.
Asked on the uniqueness of the product, Mr. Bhogal noted that the Dreamline is conceived on the lines of the requirements and expectations of private fleet and tourist bus operators. “The BharatBenz brand is the latest craze of the bus market and hence our Dreamline is built on it. We have also redefined interiors by way of innovative ideas and improved fit and finish of materials used”, he added.
Sheena, on an average, makes over 15 buses a month at its Naraina facility in Delhi. “Our specilisation is largely in the tourist bus applications, although we make other models including sleeper coaches. With our immense presence in the Northern region, we would like to expand our reach further across the country”, claimed Mr. Bhogal.
