Under its CSR program, the company extends support to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation for conducting 1000 antigen tests of essential service staff of various departments
Expressing its gratitude towards the frontline workers of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) who have been working relentlessly in keeping the city safe from COVID-19 spread, SKF India under its CSR program has extended financial support of Rs. 5,04,000. The donation is for conducting 1000 antigen tests of essential service staff from various departments. A letter of support on COVID-19 antibody testing was handed over to the PCMC Additional Commissioner Santosh Patil and Varsha Dange, RCH officer, who appreciated the support being extended by SKF India in these crucial times.
Commenting on the occasion, Manish Bhatnagar, Managing Director, SKF India, said: “As a socially responsible company, we are committed to supporting the governing authorities in their relentless efforts towards fighting the pandemic. To celebrate this community spirit and thank all the essential staff members of PCMC, SKF India’s initiative will expedite the existing antigen testing capacity for the staff workers of various departments and help shield the most vulnerable from the virus.’’
SKF has been working relentlessly to support the communities. To date, the company has donated over 2500 N95 masks to the officials of Health Department and Government of Maharashtra. Additionally, SKF has supported vehicle repair and disinfection camp for essential services, such as Police, Ambulances and Health department vehicles who were on COVID-19 duty during the lockdown.
