SML Isuzu (SMLI) has unveiled its new range of truck models named ‘Global Series’ (GS) to gradually replace the quintessential Mazda cab design that the brand has been holding to since the mid-1980s across its entire LCV and ICV truck range. The interior dashboard layout of the trucks has also been revamped to suit the modern needs of the buyers.
Three new trucks were on display at the company stall at the Motor Show – Samrat GS HD19, Sartaj GS CNG with turbocharger and intercooler and Samrat GS Tipper chassis with improved 85 kW engine and 5-speed gearbox. SMLI has also introduced the CNG-variant of the ‘Executive LX’ tourist and staff application AC bus powered by a turbo-charged engine for improved performance on par with diesel. The company claims that the key design and engineering improvements in the new products have been carried out to suit the unique requirements of the Indian market.
