Sujan ContiTech AVS Driving India’s NVH Market for Trucks and Buses

Sujan ContiTech AVS, a joint venture between JNV Ventures Group and Continental AG, has established itself as the partner of choice for NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) products for small, light, heavy, and new energy commercial vehicles.

Sujan ContiTech AVS Private Limited (SCT) diversified into the manufacturing of NVH parts for commercial vehicles in 2018. Since then, the company, a joint venture between JNV Ventures Group and Continental AG, has achieved several milestones. It currently serves India’s leading CV manufacturers, including the No. 1 and No. 2 players – Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland – and has recently secured a key mandate from Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, the Indian subsidiary of Daimler Trucks. SCT has set up a dedicated CV research & development team, headed by a Chief Technology Officer, to deepen its involvement with the CV sector and provide world-class, cost-effective, and reliable products and solutions.

SCT is already a major player in the NVH business for passenger vehicle OEMs in India. Its customer list includes the leading names in the Indian car industry: Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Stellantis, Toyota Kirloskar (the Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corporation), and Renault-Nissan, among others. Additionally, the company supplies its products to several Tier 1 companies.

Top Brands
SCT has developed capabilities and expertise across diverse CV platforms, from small commercial vehicles (1 to 3.5 tonnes) to light commercial vehicles (3.5 to 7 tonnes) and heavy CVs (19 to 55 tonnes), including new energy ones such as hydrogen-powered vehicles. The company is widely recognized for its technology and innovation in AVS (Anti-Vibration Systems) products, which have enabled the launch of world-class CV mobility solutions. At every step, SCT focuses on building sustainable relationships and delivering customer satisfaction. SCT’s globally tested and validated solutions are designed to meet the highest standards.

CV Product Range
The product portfolio for CVs includes front and rear engine mounts, cabin mounts, motor mounts, leaf spring bushes, anti-roll bar bushes, battery mounts, bolsters, and transmission mounts. This portfolio is being installed on both light commercial vehicles and medium and heavy trucks and buses. Battery mounts are specifically supplied to electric SCVs.

Manufacturing Facilities
SCT operates two modern manufacturing facilities located in Chakan, Pune, and Marai Malai Nagar, near Chennai. The Chakan plant, situated in Maharashtra, is one of the most advanced AVS manufacturing facilities in India. The company’s R&D center, also based in Chakan, is staffed by over 30 professionals with global and local experience. This center includes a dedicated Chief Technology Officer for the CV sector. SCT’s Chakan facility is equipped with comprehensive testing capabilities, allowing for complete testing at a single location, a unique advantage among companies of its size in the AVS business. SCT is the first NVH company to perform Road Load Data (RLD) and high-frequency testing at its R&D center in Chakan.

Additionally, a robotic arm has been installed for the manufacturing of engine mounts at this facility.

The Maraimalai Nagar facility, located 70 km from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, serves as a key location in South India, a significant automotive hub.
