SVLL Foundation, the CSR wing of Siddhi Vinayak Logistic Ltd, one of the largest corporate logistics service provider and fleet owner in India, in pursuit of vision and social cause initiated a medical health camp for the deprived and the underprivileged. The camp was held at Kalhegaon, Lauchiwadi, Raigad on November 22, 2014. Mrs. Ankita Baid, Managing Trustee, SVLL Foundation and President, Commercial, Siddhi Vinayak Logistic Ltd, initiated the proceedings at the event.
In order to develop and help the mind, body and soul of each individual in the vicinity of Kalhegaon, Lauchiwadi, Raigad, the foundation organized free medical checkups for blood sugar, blood pressure, haemoglobin levels along with general health check-up for the patients. About 100 families were medically examined and counselled by a team of professional doctors.
The objective of the health camp was to generate awareness about health and hygiene and provide professional consultancy to the underprivileged. The doctors addressed the specific medical problems of men and women and spoke about various ways to tackle seasonal ailments and diseases.
According to Mrs. Baid, “This initiative is yet another endeavour of ours to play a meaningful role in the lives of people and raise awareness about lifestyle-related diseases among the underprivileged. At SVLL, we believe that people’s health is a top priority and through such camps, we aim to enable everyone to lead a better and healthy life.”
