Tata Motors, the country’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has received its largest order ever for commercial vehicles (M & HCV trucks) from Siddhivinayak Logistics (SVLL), an Indian logistics service provider.
SVLL, a Surat-based firm is the largest fleet owner in the country today with a fleet size of over 4,000 commercial vehicles.
The company operates across diverse segments like steel, cement, tractors, chemicals and machinery and is also known to be a pioneer in the commercial vehicle chassis carrier sector.
SVLL placed this bulk order to the automobile major for about 1,314 trucks, which includes the newly introduced Tata Prima 4923 LX and Tata LPT 3723, the first 5-axle rigid truck in the country.
The deal coincided with the launch of an innovative scheme by SVLL called ‘Chalak se malak’, introduced for the well-being of its drivers.
