The expo enabled Tata Motors and its partners to showcase their experience in the trucking business, with the latest trucking technologies, vehicle design, quality, reliability and safety. The event comprised separate areas for product display, hospitality, entertainment, engagement activities and common facilities for customers and visitors.

Tata Motors displayed nearly 30 medium and heavy commercial vehicles, its own service-related brands like Tata Genuine parts, Tata Delight and Tata FleetMan. The company’s key vendor partners, financers and value-added service providers were also present.

The Advanced Trucking Expo had service-related workshops for customers, mechanics and drivers. Various entertainment programs were organised on the occasion for the families of visitors.

Having attracted over 8,000 truckers and their families at Truck World expos held in Gurgaon, Vijayawada, Salem and Bhubaneshwar, Tata Motors also plans to organise such expos in other trucking centres across the country.

Furthermore, the company continues to invest in its products, sales & service network, redesigning, developing and deploying modern dealerships, with an aggressive customer-centric approach. With over 1800 touch-points across the country, the company hopes to develop and deploy effective modern dealership models to significantly improve customer experience and convenience across its network, as also to improve penetration and driving quality, building in the process strong, lasting relationship with its customers.

As new age businesses as well as next generation truckers take over, Tata Motors is also planning to make its medium and heavy commercial vehicles connected. Said Mr. Rajesh Kaul, Business Head – Intermediate, Medium & Heavy Trucks (IMHCV), on the sidelines of Truck World Expo: “The second generation are coming into the Trucking Business and they are demanding more feature-rich vehicles with more comfort. With our Prima and Ultra range, we are trying to address that market. In a month’s time, we plan to put telematics in all our tractor trailers, and going forward, may be in a year’s time, all our vehicles would be connected.”

With Truck World, Tata Motors is adding yet another exciting new dimension to one of the largest commercial vehicle markets in the world.
