Tata Iris EV is a state-of-the-art zero emission solution in the last-mile public transport space. It is a green vehicle which runs on electricity powered by a lithium ion battery module of 200Ah @ 72V.

The fully-closed body of the Magic IRIS, with powerful, robust, low maintenance aggregates, guarantees safety, high savings and profits due to very low running cost. Boasting a powerful traction motor – 13 Kw (peak power) and 43 Nm (peak torque) – which can run up to 120 km with two battery modules, the Iris EV is a healthier alternative to any other fuel-operated public transportation system. It can comfortably accommodate four passengers and is ideal for Smart City shared public transport. It is among the first few electric last-mile public transport vehicles in the country to avail the Automobile Body certification.

Tata Hybrid buses have been developed to suit Indian operating conditions and the future requirements of Smart Cities. Tried and tested in Delhi and Mumbai during the Commonwealth Games, these hybrid CNG electric buses can be scaled to full electric buses.

Ten similar CNG electric hybrid buses are already running successfully in Madrid. Having so far covered more than four lakh km, the buses plying in Madrid have been designed and manufactured in India meeting all the specific requirements of the European country.
