TCCI presents latest EV COMPRESSOR innovations for the future of CVs

TCCI Manufacturing, a global pioneer of compressor technology for commercial, heavy-duty vehicle and automotive EV specialty markets, today announced its presence at IAA Transportation 2024, the leading conference for logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector. TCCI will be exhibiting (Booth C51 in Hall 24), speaking, and debuting new electric compressor technology at this year’s event taking place in Hannover, Germany from September 16-22.

Offering the largest range of capacity and voltage of any compressor manufacturer in the automotive market and currently supplying approximately 1,300,000 ICE compressors per year to OEMs, TCCI is also the electric compressor supplier of choice for industry leaders such as Traton Group, Ford, Daimler, The Fiat Group, Thermo King, Carrier, Caterpillar, OshKosh and Spheros.

At IAA Transportation 2024, TCCI will present innovative solutions that are pioneering advancements in sustainability and electrification, and driving the next generation of products in the commercial and heavy-duty vehicle and automotive EV specialty markets. The company will showcase over a dozen electric compressors for Class 3-8 EV applications including the debut of the company’s QPE60: 60cc and QPE120 120cc electric compressors, both of which are set to begin production and shipping in January, 2025.

QPE60: 60cc / 850V

Designed for battery and cabin cooling, this single solution product enables OEMS to move to a one compressor system and offers versatility, efficiency and the ability to customize designs and solutions based on application needs. Full product details here.

QPE120: 120cc / 850V

TCCI’s 120cc / 850V compressor puts out an industry leading 29 kW and eliminates the need to run multiple compressors in parallel for large cabin or battery systems in large construction vehicles and transport refrigeration trucks. TCCI will be showing the 120cc/850V with a first-of-its-kind turned controller for the bus market. Full product details here

“Our 60cc is quickly becoming the most desired compressor for many of our commercial vehicle, trucking, and bus customers for battery cooling operations,” said TCCI president Richard Demirjian. “With respect to the bus market, we’ve developed the only solution in the industry featuring a turned controller head enabling a 90-degree rotation for our 60cc compressor, a critical factor for electric buses due to height restrictions. Our 60cc can also be used in automotive applications by the larger SUV segment as it can run slower and quieter than all other available solutions currently on the market.”

On Monday, September 16 from 4:10-4:30 p.m. CET, TCCI will hold a press conference at its exhibitor location.

“Revolutionizing EV Efficiency: The Critical Role of Advanced HVAC & Thermal Management Technologies.”

Additionally, TCCI president Richard Demirjian will host an engaging conversation with EV industry leaders. The Speakers’ Corner Session, “Powering the Future: Thermal Management Systems and Global Trends in Electrification,” will take place on Thursday, September 19 at 12 p.m. CET, at Booth E50 in Hall 13. During the 45- minute discussion moderated by Ben Prochazka, executive director of the Electrification Coalition, Demirjian and Erik Huyghe, director of advanced engineering at TCCI, will explore the critical role of thermal management systems in advancing electrification technologies.
