Transport Corporation of India (TCI), India’s leading integrated logistics and supply chain solutions provider, won the prestigious Overall Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain at the outstanding Supply Chain and Logistics Awards 2016 held on December 16.
The Award was given on the basis of Size of Own and Managed fleet, Size and Reach of network and use of technology for management, track and trace with customer service at the core.
Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development, TCI Group, accepted the Award on behalf of Group TCI.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development, TCI Group, elaborated: “Group TCI has 9,000 trucks plying on the road on any given day, including 1,400 of our own, and together we move 2.5% of India’s GDP by value. It is indeed a tough task operating and managing trucking in the country with challenges all along the way …we are happy that our customers have recognized us for our efforts”.
