Dipen Makwana, Managing Director, Texspin Bearings, speaks about his company’s new product launches in the clutch, wheel and transmission segments.
New products unveiled
We have launched quite a few sub-products in the clutch, wheel and transmission segments. In the clutch segment, we have come up with hydro-pneumatic clutch actuation that is equipped with 3-dimensional self-centering technology and we are getting it patented. Besides, there are quite a few different designs that we are working on currently. Then in the wheel segment, we have launched unitized double row taper roller bearings which is currently not used in India. And in the transmission segment, we have been working on differential bearings where we have been working on converting the conventional bearings into double row angular contact type. Additionally, we are unveiling differential pinion packs. Another area is that the kingpin where we have completely changed the design of the pre-loaded kingpin bearings which offer zero backlash design. Soon, we will be patenting this design too.
USP and advantages
The hydro-pneumatic CSC technology uses both hydraulic and pneumatic slave cylinders running in tandem in a compact one-piece design. This design offers the benefit of removing the pneumatic boosters and has the dual safety of hydraulic and pneumatic system. This technology is suitable for heavy duty operations where the release loads are high.
Our new unitized double row taper roller bearings are manufactured in our brand-new state-of-the-art facility with specialized cryogenic heat treatment and with advanced sealing design to maintenance free wheel end solution.
The conventional differential and transaxle gearbox use single row taper roller bearings which produce higher noise, torque and inflated temperatures during operations leading to premature failure of the bearings and the gears. We offer a unique solution by converting the taper roller bearing to angular contact ball bearing which offers longevity and lower drag torque besides low NVH.
Preparing for BS VI norms
Texspin is already prepared for the BS VI launch. We have made all the changes that we needed to be done. At the moment we are well placed to take on the changes in the emission norms and are ready to serve our customers.
