TEXSPIN has carved a niche for itself as one of the leading providers of cutting-edge technology solutions for the automotive industry. The company has been known for its classy-looking Lounge setup in the Bearings Pavilion since the last few Auto Expos and is gearing up for another eye-catching display, as confirmed by Dipen Makwana, Managing Director, TEXSPIN, in a quick chat.
Focus at Auto Expo 2020
Over the last few Auto Expo shows, TEXSPIN has had a sizeable presence with a lounge concept where our customers and guests could have a relaxed and comforting environment for informal discussions and sharing ideas. We consider the Auto Expo as our biennial customer meeting place where we look forward to welcoming and meeting our customers. Of course, we also do use the Expo to showcase the various new technologies we are working on and try to get feedback from our customers of their perspective and willingness to adopt these technologies. Brand TEXSPIN has been growing in stature over the years and we consider Auto Expo as an important platform for effective communication about our brand attributes and our commitment to our core philosophy of being a technology solution provider to the industry.
Products and technologies to be showcased
We have been focusing a lot on the wheel-end solutions, transmission & differential solutions and of course our core segment of clutch release bearings over the last few years. We would be showcasing all these technologies this year. Since the last Auto Expo, we have received a number of patents such as the hydro pneumatic CSC, zero drop kingpin assembly, stamped futec synchronizers, stamped one-way clutch as well as new technology solutions like the pinion pack, wheel-end modules etc., all of which will all be on display at the TEXSPIN Lounge.
BS-VI Impact
The shift to BS-VI from BS-IV in such a short timeline is a great achievement for the Indian automotive industry and both the vehicle makers and component suppliers deserve huge appreciation for the commendable effort. It is a great move towards ensuring reduced air pollution which is a matter of major concern today. Having said that, we do expect some challenges both in terms of stabilizing the technology as well as passing on the commercial impact due to the change which may affect the demand scenario temporarily. The automotive demand is already greatly subdued and the market demand is at one of its lowest in several decades and therefore we do not expect any further major downturn in demand from here. However, the revival of the demand from hereon will be further delayed due to this changeover and therefore we need to prepare for a slightly longer depressed demand scenario.
