Success with TIIGER Extender wind blade carrier
TII India Pvt. Ltd. made a breakthrough in the market with the delivery of its first TIIGER Extender semi-trailers to Darshan Roadlines and J.H. Parabia. Based in Bawal near Delhi and manufacturing under the TIIGER brand, the company produces vehicles for heavy-duty transport operations, a field in which its parent company, TII Group, is a global market leader. TII India’s plant has a workforce of around 200, with production currently running at full capacity.
One year after inauguration celebrations with representatives from the Government and leading Indian transporters a success story has started to unfold: Dr. Jochen Landes, Managing Director, TII India, said: “Demand for our vehicles is enormous and our production is at full capacity. India is a growing market, not least because of its extensive investment in the transport and energy infrastructure, and requires vehicles that can safely and reliably transport wind turbines and generators. At the same time, the existing and newly-built roads are to be looked after and left undamaged for which our pendulum-axle technology is exactly the right solution.”
TIIGER Extender, a robust and maintenance-friendly telescopic (up to 3x) semi-trailer is perfectly designed for long and bulky loads like wind turbine rotor blades and bridge segments. With its 53m length it is perfectly suited for long wind blades. But TII India is already working on the next generation TIIGER Extender. Longer wind blades are needed to get more output power from wind power stations. With its extended 60m length and lower platform height TIIGER Extender Gen. 2 is designed to further support the Indian infrastructure with state-of-art trailer technology.
TII India customers have acknowledged the versatility and quality of the TIIGER Extender. J.H. Parabia, Darshan Roadlines, Nabros Transport, BAL Roadlines, Bharat Cargo, Agrawal Freight Carriers, Assam Bombay Carriers, Gangotri Freight and others have expressed their sincere thanks to TII India.
On the occasion of their vehicle handover, Mr. Bharat Gandhi, Founder and Co-owner, DRPL, emphasized: “Darshan Roadlines stands for safety, reliability and long-term customer relationships. In this respect, TIIGER is a perfect fit for us. TII Group’s clear commitment to the Indian market, combined with the technical advantages of its products, was the decisive factor in our decision to purchase their vehicles.”
TII India has started exporting vehicles to customers in the Middle East. The first 10 trailers are already under dispatch and there is little doubt that this will be another success story.
The TII Group, with its brands SCHEUERLE, NICOLAS, KAMAG and TIIGER, is the world market leader in the production of vehicles with hydraulically-suspended pendulum axles. Worldwide, 70 per cent of all transport over 3,000 tonnes and 90 per cent of all transport over 5,000 tonnes are carried out using TII Group vehicles. With its cutting-edge technology and excellent product quality, the group’s traditional companies have always led the way in shaping the modern heavy-duty transport sector with their innovations, experience and expertise, and have repeatedly set new benchmarks in the industry.
