Turbo Energy Limited (TEL), a leading supplier of turbochargers and turbo compressors, marked its significant presence at BMGE 2025 – The Components Show showcasing cutting-edge solutions aligned with the industry’s evolving focus on cleaner and greener mobility. At the event, Ananth Ramanujam, Director, Turbo Energy, shared insights into TEL’s advancements and strategic direction.
Pioneering Future Mobility Solutions
TEL unveiled a range of innovative products designed for the future of mobility, including solutions for hydrogen fuel cells, compressed natural gas (CNG), and gasoline direct injection systems. Highlighting the company’s focus on sustainable mobility, Ananth Ramanujam said, “Many of the turbochargers you see here are contracted with major OEMs. These represent future technologies like hydrogen fuel cell compressors, which we expect to see in the market within the next five to ten years. In line with India’s focus on sustainable mobility, our products are poised to contribute to cleaner transportation solutions.”

India’s Role in Global Clean Mobility
Ramanujam emphasized TEL’s alignment with the government’s vision of promoting clean energy and sustainable development. “The government’s messaging is very clear—this is the path we are taking, and the industry is following suit. Beyond electric vehicles, we see potential in hydrogen, CNG, and LNG. Our products cater to these areas, and they are proudly made in India,” he said. TEL’s focus on indigenous manufacturing ensures cost competitiveness and aligns with the growing trend of “Make in India for the World.”
Expanding Global Reach
Beyond domestic markets, TEL is actively exploring international opportunities, particularly in Europe. The company’s engineering center in Mannheim, Germany, develops prototypes for hydrogen fuel cell applications. Speaking on global markets, Ramanujam noted, “Hydrogen is still at a nascent stage globally, with bright spots in India and Europe. We are working with customers on prototype projects and fuel cell trucks, particularly in Germany and Scandinavia. For heavy commercial vehicles, hydrogen holds significant promise.”
Navigating Industry Challenges
Despite challenges in the commercial vehicle sector, TEL remains optimistic about future growth. Reflecting on the past year, Ramanujam said, “It’s been a flat year for the commercial vehicle industry, but the utility vehicle (UV) segment, especially SUVs and CUVs, has been a bright spot. We anticipate growth picking up in the latter half of next year.”
Commitment to Sustainability
Beyond clean mobility, TEL is deeply committed to ecological sustainability and social responsibility. “At TEL, we prioritize sustainable practices in our plants and actively engage in community development projects. Our initiatives include running training centers, supporting single-teacher schools in villages, and contributing to healthcare through the SMF hospital in Chennai,” Ramanujam shared. He added, “Our commitment to a green earth and clean mobility has been unwavering and will continue.”
Looking Ahead
As TEL continues to innovate and expand, the company remains focused on advancing clean mobility solutions while contributing to sustainability. With its strategic investments in hydrogen, CNG, and hybrid platforms, TEL is well-positioned to support the automotive industry’s transition toward greener technologies.
BMGE 2025 served as a powerful platform for TEL to reaffirm its commitment to cleaner, future-ready solutions, resonating with the industry’s collective vision for a sustainable future.
