The CII Institute of Logistics will organise the Logistics Summit in Chennai on August 21 and 22 with its theme “Value creation through integration and optimization of supply chains”.
The Summit will have special sessions on supply chain strategies to enhance operations for emerging markets whereby companies need to innovate and turn data into insights; integrating the country’s transport network involving development of core infrastructure supported by upgrading technologies, developing talent pools and revitalizing regulatory policy; and value addition in warehousing, maximizing returns with better capital management, operational efficiency and value-added services.
The sessions on increasing competiveness of coastal shipping will deliberate on building supporting infrastructure, extending regulatory support and developing inland waterways to promote coastal shipping, while the session on opportunities and challenges will discuss whether India can capitalize on opportunities and overcome the traditional challenges to resume its growth trajectory.
