Presents ‘REVO-E GLOBAL’ range of all-electric roof-top air-con units for electric and hybrid buses
Valeo showcased a wide range of solutions for bus air-conditioning at the show. The products that were on display at the company stall included rooftop air-conditioners, control electronics, heaters, heat pumps and ventilation hatches tailor made for buses and coaches.

To tap the growing e-bus market in India, Valeo has come up with ‘REVO-E GLOBAL’ range of bus HVAC systems that run fully on battery power. The product is targeted at electric bus manufacturers in the country.
Valeo has developed this product with emphasis on lightweight and compact construction, simple installation and efficient performance. The system compactly integrates all components, including the DC-DC inverter into one roof-top unit. In terms of application engineering, the company recommends customized specs for electric buses based on multiple parameters, including the saloon size, number of seats and capacity of the battery pack.
Currently the system is designed for large 12-metre buses, but Valeo is developing midi and mini AC models to extend to smaller electric buses as well. Valeo’s other rooftop systems meant for conventional diesel buses, those specially designed for unique applications like shuttle, and school buses featured at the expo, garnered most visitor attention and enquiries.
In terms of value addition with air-conditioning, Valeo also offers features like ‘feather touch’ control interface, demisters and GPS-linked CAN communication that can inform fleet managers of the running status and efficiency of HVAC systems of their buses.
