With around half a dozen bus air-conditioning makers exhibiting at the show, Valeo, a global leader in the supply of compressors and integrated systems for the automotive industry, made the most of the opportunity by showcasing its range of air conditioning compressor solutions for the Indian market. The company has been very aggressive in expanding its customer base and presence across the country, coming up with new innovative products, suitable for local conditions.

The benefits of our compressor range such as high efficiency and low fuel consumption are well recognized by our customers and we expect our sales to grow better than the market growth in the coming years. Our compact products deliver better performance than the larger ones in the market”, says Mr. Mitsuru Funakoshi, Director of the heavy duty activity in charge of the Asian market at Valeo.
Valeo feels it can add value to customers in the Indian market with its smart solutions. Mr. Sriram Ramanoudjame, Marketing Manager, states: “Our compressors work on swash plate technology. Therefore they are smaller and lighter compared to the conventional reciprocating type which are typically noisy and vibrate a lot. The Indian market is looking for compact solutions with cost and technology being the main growth drivers and since we are good at both, we have been very successful.”
