Vishwakarma Automotive’s big foray into CE sector

Their metal cast components find their way under the hoods of passenger cars and tractors. It was in 1984 that Vishwakarma Automotive was founded and in 2012 it set up a foundry to cast components for vehicles. Now the lure of the CE industry is irresistible to it.

Mr. Nitin Raheja, Director, Vishwakarma Automotive

ExpertSpeak – Mr. Nitin Raheja, Director – Vishwakarma Automotive, remarks: “The CE industry is getting a tremendous boost from the Government and it requires heavy casting parts. Since our company sells by tonnage and machining is our forte, we are happy with the way things are developing.”

Market Ready – Currently, Vishwakarma Automotive produces parts for backhoe loaders but foresees a whole range of CE parts for machines and construction vehicles. He says: “We produce our raw material which is casting and we do our own machining and we do those parts which are machined castings. We offer our products to bulk buyers in their own brand names.”

Mr. Raheja is excited that MORTH is constructing 24 km of roads a day which translates four times the business that was coming his way earlier. He shares: “I was supplying 2,000 units of a part called flywheel 2000 to my customer till a few months ago. But this month I have received an order for 4,000 units and I am expected to deliver upto 4,500 units. And this particular CE company that I am catering to is now exporting engines from India to its plants in the UK. So, I know that the market is vibrant.”

Mission – Soon, Vishwakarma Automotive can be seen turning over a new leaf, as Mr. Raheja shares: “In the next couple of years, we are planning to launch our products under our own brand name and we see ourselves as a big brand in the CE sector.”

Product Highlight – “We have a new product called the Hub which is tailor-made to a CE customer, and there are five variants of it. We manufacture products highly guided by the Government policies and our major clients as to what they are producing in the market.”

Roadmap Ahead – Exports to Istanbul, Turkey, have been underway in just under one year.

Hopping on to the CE bandwagon is Vishwakarma Automotive hoping to not only recover the investments faster but also that the sector will acquire stability it much deserves.
